OUR HISTORY

Sales Producers, Inc. was the brainstorm of Co-Founder, Carol L. Glushon. Her experience in the Gift Industry, that spans over 30 years, began when she opened The Party Girl in 1968. Known as one of the first "alternative" Card and Gift shops in Southern California, The Party Girl introduced an array of ground breaking companies such as Recycled Paper Products, Blue Mountain Arts, Sanrio, Mrs. Grossman's and many others. Her vision along with her expert buying and merchandising soon expanded Carol's success to four stores. After selling her stores in 1980 she took her show on the road and became an outside sales representative. Once again her success prevailed and opening her own agency was the obvious next step.

In August of 1983 Carol initiated a partnership with her daughter Bonnie, leased a showroom at the L.A. Mart and opened Sales Producers, Inc. To their good fortune, a few key lines put their faith and trust in Carol and Bonnie early on. And, as they say, the rest is history! With a growing foundation of satisfied customers and suppliers Carol and Bonnie developed a support team of outstanding people, a number of which are still working with the company today.

The 1990's were a decade of change for the company. First divisionalizing, then transitioning from a staff of independent contractors to employees and expanding the showroom to 7000 square feet.

Sales Producers led the industry in 2000 by launching a state of the art Web site and being one of the first sales rep firms to transition to a new software system equipping their entire sales force with lap tops and the ability to transmit orders electronically.

By July of 2005 the Sales Producers showroom expanded to 12,000 sq. ft. and proudly represents many of the leading suppliers in the home and gift industry.  Although Sales Producers, Inc. has grown, it is still centered on the core attributes that Carol and Bonnie built their initial success with: Passion, Determination, Courage, Resiliency and Commitment.
